The safety and comfort of our customers and the reliability of our models represent the top priority for Audi. For this reason we conduct a program to constantly monitor the quality of our products.
During the field trials, we have observed that in few Audi Q3 vehicles built within a specific period the brake lights are not activated when an emergency braking operation is initiated via the electromechanical parking brake (EPB) button. The basic operability of the brakes and brake lights is not affected by this issue.
To ensure that the brake lights light up during the emergency braking function of the EPB, it is necessary to perform a software update on 1238 produced from 2014 and included 2017.
The work required will take approximately one hour and will, of course, be performed free of charge.
